This is the season for analyzing 2021 production and financial performance and using that data as a baseline to plan for 2022.  FBS and MASA users enjoy the advantages of timely, comprehensive, integrated, and reconciled accounting and production metrics.  Don't let another season slip by without the ability to thoroughly harvest data and cultivate a wealth of knowledge.

Dr. Temple Grandin to be Featured Speaker at  Agricultural Consultants Conference.

Dr. Temple Grandin, an ASAC member and world renown speaker, will be a highlight of the American Society of Agricultural Consultants Conference in Nashville, TN, being held from November 7-10, 2021. Dr. Grandin is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University.

When Temple was two and a half years old, she had no speech and all the symptoms of severe autism. Early intensive speech therapy enabled her to speak by age four. Her mother always encouraged her interest in art and urged her to draw many different things. Good teachers and mentors were essential for Temple‘s success. Her high school science teacher challenged her with interesting projects where she had to figure out how to make things work.

When studying in school became a pathway to becoming a scientist, she was motivated to study.

An HBO movie titled "Temple Grandin" was made about her life and Temple was inducted into The National Women‘s Hall of Fame and The Academy of Arts and Sciences. Facilities she has designed handle more than half the cattle in the United States. Some of her most important books are The New York Times Bestsellers Animals in Translation, Thinking in Pictures, The Autistic Brain, and The Way I See It.

Q&A #1:  Why is my Default Printer in FBS?

A.  Our support department has been fielding numerous enquiries regarding "Default Printers" changing unexpectedly in FBS.  This is likely caused by an obscure feature in Windows 10 that affects all applications; not just FBS.

To examine or fix this setting, type Printer & scanners in your search window.  You'll see a complete list of installed printers.  Here's an example (keep in mind that your printer list will be different):

Scroll to the bottom of the list and uncheck "Let Windows manage my default printer."
