How to Locate FBS in Louisville

As Ed Sullivan used to say, "It's a really big shoe."  With 27 acres under roof, 890 exhibits, and 300,000 attendees the National Farm Machinery Show is by far the largest indoor farm show in North America.

Fortunately there are two easy ways to locate the FBS booth, which is open 9 am to 6 pm Wednesday, February 12 through Saturday, February 15.

The January 18, 2020, The Wall Street Journal story, "The Dog That Didn't Bark:  What Soybean Prices Say About Trade Deal," turned to Iowa soybean farmer Scott Henry for his perspective on the $32 billion agreement with China.  Henry is "looking to invest in farmland  because he's optimistic about the sector with trade disputes receding.  'We think the buying opportunity is now,' he said.  Still, he harbors some skepticism that China will follow through on its commitments after months of back-and-forth negotiations.
'Let's see that first ship go to China,' he said."

Q&A:  Getting Balance Sheet and Schedule F Updates

Q.  I'm having a couple of issues.  First, my January 1 beginning balances are doubling up, and every time I recreate them it doubles them again so I have the beginning balance in 4 times!  Also my 2019 Schedule F Report is not printing any descriptions. I've checked for updates but I am still having issues.

A.  You're on the right track by checking for updates.  The beginning balance issue was a problem in January 2019 and was fixed that month as well.  The Schedule F for 2019 was released in November 2019, and that release will display the correct descriptions on the report.  However, if you're still experiencing these issues and have been going to Utilities>Check for Updates that means that your FBS software isn’t current enough to get these updates.

This is an issue we had in December 2018-January 2019 when we switched web servers.  We sent out a series of emails as well as putting a notice in the Notification Window of FBS that there was a special file you needed to download and run.  Emails and the Notification Window included links to download the file that allows you to properly get updates and fix the issues you are experiencing. 

Version 11.3 Patch

The link to the file is still in the Notification Window so you can click on that link, run the patch, then go to Check for Updates to complete the update process.  If the link doesn’t work for you contact support, and we can connect to your computer and run the patch and updates.
