Q&A of the Month--How Can I Speed Up Support?
Sarah Dixon, FBS Technical Services Manager.
Q. Why do you ask so many questions when I call in for support? What information should I assemble before I call or e-mail?
A.Sometimes it might seem that we ask a lot of irrelevant questions, but it helps us get the full picture of what you are experiencing. To be the best prepared when you contact us here is a list of things to have thought about:
When did the issue start?
When did you last download program updates for FBS?
Has anything changed with your computer setup such as new software or hardware or a Windows update?
When does the issue occur? Is the issue specific to one certain thing that you can document or is it random?
These are the basics. That doesn't mean we won't have more questions once we start digging into the problem. Please have patience with us; everyone's setup is unique and because of that, everyone's solutions are unique and often require a full understanding of the situation and the environment in which it is occurring!
