Q.
|
I have to change bank accounts every time I input checks and re-check the "Print Check" box. Is there a way to set default values? |
| a.
|
Yes,
you can set the default bank account, check printing and many
other preferences through the Utilities / Set Preferences
menu. You will currently find a list of 80 preferences,
including preferences for modules other than TransAction
Plus. The preferences are in alphabetical order by the
name of the program module. As you highlight each line the
blue box at the bottom of the screen explains the Valid Values,
of the program that uses it, and a more detailed description of the
preference. Simply type in the value you need in the Value
column.

To change the default bank account, type the bank account
ledger account number in the Value column beside the TA+ Entry
Bank Account preference. Or to default to printing checks,
type a Y in the Value column beside the TA+ Print Check preference.
NOTE: We'll be explaining how to take advantage
of Preferences in "Things you never knew your software
could do" segment at the FBS User Conference on August 23rd. |
